Terrebonne hosts heritage exhibitions on motel history and family memories

Terrebonne is hosting several cultural exhibitions focused on local heritage. One exhibition, titled ‘Motel, mémoire et sauvegarde d’un patrimoine de vacances’, explores the history of motels from the 1950s, documenting their role in travel culture and the evolution of roadside accommodations.

Additionally, the Maison Eugène-Labelle is featuring the ‘Mémoires de familles de Terrebonne’ project. Supported by the Government of Canada through the New Horizons for Seniors Program, this interactive exhibition utilizes oral history and corrected data from the 1921 census to explore themes such as family life and local industries.
