Terricciola hosts junior cycling race and launches trail maintenance

The municipality of Terricciola is initiating several projects focused on sports and environmental preservation.

On August 17, the town will host the 4th Trofeo Irriducibili – Memorial Caduti sul Lavoro, part of the Challenge Piero Pratesi. This junior cycling race features a 130-kilometer course passing through La Rosa, Morrona, Soiana, and Terricciola. The event serves as a high-level competition for Italian and international junior cyclists and acts as a stepping stone toward the Giro della Lunigiana.

Simultaneously, maintenance work has begun on Terricciola's network of 23 natural trails. Spanning 60 kilometers, these paths were recently recovered through historical research. The maintenance project is a public-private partnership involving the municipality, the association Idee O. D. V., and local companies, with the goal of completing repairs by September to ensure safety and accessibility for tourists and residents.
