Seattle Seahawks sign cornerback Terrion Arnold amid felony charges

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly signing cornerback Terrion Arnold to a one-year contract following a successful tryout. Arnold, a former first-round pick for the Detroit Lions, is currently facing eight felony charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery, stemming from an incident in Tampa, Florida, in February.

Prosecutors allege that Arnold orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men whom he wrongly suspected of stealing $100,000 and luxury goods. Arnold and his legal representatives have denied all allegations, stating there is ‘no credible evidence’ against him. He was released on a $1 million bond and is currently under home confinement.

The NFL may place Arnold on the Commissioner’s Exempt List due to the severity of the charges, which could impact his ability to play or practice during the season. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald noted that the team is performing due diligence regarding the situation, describing the recent visit and tryout as ‘great’.
