Terrion Arnold signs one-year deal with Seattle Seahawks

Terrion Arnold has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks following his release from the Detroit Lions. Arnold, a former first-round pick from the University of Alabama, was waived by the Lions five days after his arrest on June 24 on kidnapping and robbery charges.

Analysts have suggested several reasons for the Lions' decision to part ways with the cornerback, including performance issues, potential league-mandated paid leave, or concerns regarding his transparency with the team following his arrest. During his tenure in Detroit, Arnold struggled to meet first-round expectations, recording 60 solo tackles in his rookie season and only 31 tackles in his sophomore year before being sidelined by injury.

In Seattle, Arnold will compete for the third cornerback role behind Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe. Seahawks quarterback Jalen Milroe, a former teammate of Arnold at Alabama, welcomed the signing, stating that Arnold is a committed player who will fit the team's culture.
