Territorial Defence Forces members take military oaths in Poland

New members of the Polish Territorial Defence Forces (WOT) have completed training and taken military oaths in two separate ceremonies.

In Dęblin, 154 volunteers from the Lublin Voivodeship swore allegiance to the banner of the 2nd Lubelska Territorial Defence Brigade. The group, which included many students participating in the ‘Wakacje z WOT’ (Vacations with WOT) project, completed basic training on September 19. The ceremony included a letter from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, emphasizing the responsibility and loyalty required of the service.

In a separate event at the Wieliczka Salt Mine, 50 soldiers from the 11th Małopolska Territorial Defence Brigade also took their military oaths following the completion of demanding training. The ceremony marked the beginning of their service to the local community.
