Territorial planning and cadastral updates advance in Antioquia and Neiva

In Antioquia, Colombia, the Cadastre Management office reported progress in updating territorial information and cartography over the last two years and eight months. The initiative aims to improve municipal finances and land-use planning by providing updated physical, legal, and economic data for properties. At the time of the report, the department faced significant challenges, as 86% of the cadastral data for the 113 managed municipalities was outdated, with some lags reaching three decades. During the presentation, manager Yeison Miranda announced his resignation, effective August 31.

Meanwhile, in Neiva, the update of the Land Management Plan (POT) has entered a new diagnostic phase. Through an agreement with the National University of Colombia, local planning authorities are conducting community outreach, including neighborhood tours and cartography workshops. This phase seeks to identify current municipal issues and integrate local community feedback with technical data to shape the city's development strategy for the coming years.
