Terry Fox Run events held across Canada to support cancer research

Community members across Canada participated in Terry Fox Run events to support cancer research. In Norfolk County, Patricia Porter, a 52-year-old breast cancer survivor, returned to the Simcoe event as a volunteer to give back to the community that supported her during her treatment.

In Wainwright, the Wainwright Runners hosted their inaugural Terry Fox Run at the Elks Hall. The event featured a five-kilometre route for running, walking, or biking, aimed at reaching a broader audience than traditional school or military-based runs. The initiative included a barbecue and encouraged donations to the Terry Fox Foundation to honor the legacy of Terry Fox.
