Terry Fox Run returns for 46th annual fundraiser

The 46th annual Terry Fox Run is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing Marathon of Hope to fund cancer research. This year, nearly four million Canadians across 600 communities are participating.

In North York, the Four Seasons corporate home office and hotel employees will host Canada’s largest single run site at Wilket Creek Park. The event, which includes founder Isadore Sharp, has raised approximately CAD 16 million at this specific location since 1981. Last year, the Wilket Creek site raised over CAD 1 million.

Regional sites in British Columbia include Surrey and Delta, with locations such as Fraser Heights Village, Fleetwood Park, South Surrey Athletic Park, and Sungod Arena. A special walk will also be held at SFU Surrey on September 22.

Proceeds benefit the Terry Fox Foundation, which recently surpassed a historic milestone of $1 billion raised for cancer research. Funds support critical areas such as precision oncology, genetic research into hereditary cancers, and studies in leukemia and brain cancers.
