Terry Fox Run to be held for 27th time in Zagreb

The 27th Terry Fox Run in Croatia will take place on September 20 at Jarun in Zagreb. The humanitarian event aims to raise funds for the Ruđer Bošković Institute, specifically for its Laboratory for Hereditary Cancer.

This year’s donations will support research into the early detection and treatment of lobular breast cancer, a form of the disease that is often difficult to diagnose due to a lack of typical symptoms. The initiative honors the legacy of Terry Fox, who began his ‘Marathon of Hope’ in 1980 to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Fundraising activities begin on September 12 with the sale of charity T-shirts at Cvjetni Center and City Center One East and West shopping malls. T-shirts are available for a minimum donation of 15 euros and can also be ordered via the event’s Facebook page.
