Teruel hosts Mudéjar heritage event to mark 40th anniversary

The Instituto de Estudios Turolenses (IET) is organizing the “Encuentro Teruel Mudéjar: vivir entre dos mundos” on October 16 and 17 at the Museo de Teruel. This event is part of the ongoing commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Teruel's Mudéjar architecture being declared a World Heritage site.

The program includes a round table titled “La minoría mudéjar: vivir entre dos mundos,” featuring historians Ana Echevarría Arsuaga and Esteban Sarasa Sánchez. The discussions will examine the social and artistic coexistence of Muslim communities living under Christian authority in the Iberian Peninsula between the 11th and 15th centuries. Additional activities include a lecture and a guided tour.
