Tesco and Sainsbury's launch grocery delivery via Uber Eats in the UK

Tesco announced that it will roll out grocery delivery through Uber Eats in August, followed later by a launch on Deliveroo. Shoppers will be able to access Clubcard Prices and collect Clubcard points when ordering through the apps, extending the supermarket’s existing Whoosh rapid‑delivery service.

Sainsbury's has expanded its partnership with Uber Eats, allowing customers to earn one Nectar point for every £1 spent on grocery orders. The points can be redeemed for Uber vouchers or rides, and customers can link their Uber Eats and Nectar accounts to collect and spend the rewards. Both retailers aim to increase convenience and loyalty value for shoppers using third‑party delivery platforms.
