Tesco expands online grocery delivery to Czech holiday region and reports summer surge in Slovakia

Tesco has extended its Tesco Online Nákupy service to the Lipno area in the Czech Republic, enabling customers to receive full grocery orders at holiday homes, apartments or cottages in villages such as Lipno nad Vltavou, Frymburk, Slupečná and Loučovice. Deliveries are offered in a selected hourly window and are free for orders over 1,500 CZK, with prices and Clubcard benefits matching those in Tesco hypermarkets.

In Slovakia, the retailer notes a strong seasonal increase in online orders during the summer months. Melons, ice‑cream, chilled drinks, grill supplies and related items top the list of popular products. Customers often place orders before the weekend, with Friday emerging as the most common day for ordering, while the click‑and‑collect option remains popular for flexible pickup.
