Tesla and SpaceX identified as having growing technological synergies
Morgan Stanley has identified significant technological and operational synergies between Tesla and SpaceX, noting that the two companies are more closely linked than previously recognized. This integration involves shared infrastructure, talent, and chip initiatives such as Macrohard and Terafab, positioning Tesla as an infrastructure and AI player rather than just an automaker.
Additionally, Morgan Stanley has highlighted a major opportunity in Tesla’s robotrucking potential. By equipping the Tesla Semi with Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology, the company could tap into a $2 trillion global commercial market. Analysts suggest that robotrucks could generate significantly higher annual profits per unit compared to robotaxis due to their ability to operate up to 22 hours a day and cover much higher annual mileage.
