Tesla Cybercab begins seven-city tour in Australia

Tesla has brought its Cybercab concept to Australia for a seven-city tour scheduled to run through September and the 2026 Silly Season. The vehicle, which is being showcased at a minimalist showroom in Sydney’s Alexandria, is designed as a futuristic, two-seater coupe intended to operate without traditional driving controls.

Moving away from the stainless-steel construction of the Cybertruck, the Cybercab features a paint-free, polyurethane plastic body produced via reaction injection moulding. This design incorporates metallic pigment directly into the polymer. While the lightweight aesthetic aims for a sci-fi appearance, observers noted visible scuff marks on the display model's d-pillar.
