Tesla FSD adoption grows as Ron Baron signals buy
Tesla is increasingly transitioning into a software-driven company as adoption of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology grows. Ron Baron, founder and CEO of Baron Capital, stated that now is an opportune time to buy Tesla stock, citing the momentum of FSD software.
Reports indicate that FSD adoption has exceeded 55% of new vehicle deliveries in North America, with paid subscriptions reaching approximately 1.48 million—a 56% increase year-over-year. Baron noted that roughly 1.4 million people are currently using the software and predicted its influence will continue to expand.
Baron Capital maintains significant exposure to Elon Musk’s ventures, holding approximately $5 billion in Tesla shares and $25 billion in SpaceX shares. While some analysts suggest a cautious, incremental approach to the stock, the company's substantial cash reserves and growing autonomous platform are viewed as foundations for future software-driven growth.
