Tesla hits 10 million electric vehicle production milestone

Tesla became the first automaker to produce 10 million fully battery‑electric vehicles when a Model Y rolled off the Fremont, California line. The milestone follows a rapid acceleration: the company reached its first million in March 2020, its fifth million in September 2023, and the tenth million in July 2026. Production now spans factories in the United States, China, Germany and Texas, giving Tesla a global capacity of more than 2.3 million vehicles per year, though current output is still below that limit.
