Tesla launches cheaper Model 3 in Hong Kong and Macau
Tesla has launched a lower-priced version of the Model 3 in Hong Kong and Macau, featuring simplified configurations to reduce the entry cost. In Hong Kong, the starting price is 205,000 HKD (approximately 170,000 RMB), representing an 8.5% decrease from the previous base model. In Macau, the starting price is 252,000 MOP (approximately 209,800 RMB).
The new version includes several hardware and interior modifications compared to the standard model. Notable changes include the use of fabric seats instead of leather, different wheel designs, and the removal of ambient lighting. There are also unconfirmed reports suggesting potential reductions in features such as seat ventilation, rear passenger screens, and the number of audio speakers.
While the price is lower, the official WLTP range for this version is listed at 572 km. Currently, this specific affordable variant is only available in the Hong Kong and Macau markets, with no official word regarding its introduction to mainland China.
