Tesla Model S Plaid crashes on Autobahn after high-speed tire blowout

A driver of a Tesla Model S Plaid survived a high-speed crash on the German Autobahn after a rear tire burst while traveling at approximately 286 km/h. Dashcam footage captured the moment the vehicle lost control, spun multiple times, and struck a bridge embankment, leaving the car heavily damaged.

The vehicle was equipped with Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tires. Reports indicate that certain batches of these specific tires had previously been subject to a recall due to the risk of the tread separating from the tire. The driver sustained injuries, including fractures, but did not suffer life-threatening consequences.
