Tesla Powerwall 3 to be sold in Japan by Exsol from September 2026
Japanese renewable‑energy installer Exsol announced it will begin handling Tesla's residential hybrid battery, Powerwall 3, starting in September 2026. The unit stores 13.5 kWh of electricity and can deliver up to 9.69 kW, making it suitable for air‑conditioners, large appliances and electric vehicles. Powerwall 3 includes an integrated power conditioner and AI‑driven management via the Tesla app, allowing real‑time monitoring and automatic charge‑discharge optimisation. The product holds JC‑STAR security certification and is listed under the 2026 Zero‑Energy House support scheme.
Exsol will support dealers and installers with nationwide product and installation training, and on 20 August 2026 it will co‑host a web seminar with Tesla to explain specifications, fire‑code compliance and deployment best practices. The launch aims to expand home‑energy storage options, reduce electricity costs and improve resilience against power outages.
