Tesla prepares for third-quarter delivery report and autonomy updates

Tesla is expected to release its third-quarter vehicle delivery figures later this week. Wall Street analysts hold varying expectations, with estimates ranging from approximately 421,758 to 482,000 units. Some financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase, have recently lowered their forecasts ahead of the announcement.

Beyond standard vehicle deliveries, market attention is focused on Tesla’s expansion into commercial vehicles and autonomous technology. The company has reportedly begun high-volume production and customer deliveries of the Tesla Semi, with some analysts estimating production at up to 1,000 trucks per week. Additionally, Tesla continues to advance its robotaxi and Cybercab strategy, which remains a primary focus for its autonomy business.

Cantor Fitzgerald has maintained an ‘Overweight’ rating on Tesla with a $485 price target, citing progress in commercial vehicles and autonomy. Other analysts are also monitoring energy storage deployments and the potential unveiling of a next-generation Roadster.
