Tesla project leader lectures students at Universidad Tecnológica de Tijuana

Jesús Corro López, a project leader at Tesla, delivered a keynote lecture to over one thousand students at the Universidad Tecnológica de Tijuana (UTT). The presentation, which was also broadcast to the Ensenada campus, targeted students in engineering fields such as mechatronics, electromobility, and semiconductors.

During the talk, Corro López discussed his professional background in the automotive, aerospace, and robotics sectors, including his work on electric semi-trucks and the development of Optimus, Tesla’s humanoid robot. Addressing concerns regarding automation and job replacement, he emphasized that humanoid robots can eliminate repetitive and high-risk tasks for human workers. He noted that the rise of such technology will create a demand for specialized professionals to design, maintain, and update these systems.

Corro López encouraged students to begin their professional projects immediately rather than waiting for high-level positions to demonstrate their talent, stressing the importance of being prepared for future technological shifts.
