Tesla Q2 deliveries jump 25% as consumer boycott eases

Tesla reported delivering 480,126 electric vehicles in the second quarter, a 25% increase over the same period a year earlier and well above analysts’ estimate of 401,000 units. The rebound follows a consumer boycott that had depressed sales after Elon Musk’s public support for right‑wing political candidates in Europe.

European markets led the recovery, with trade groups noting especially strong growth in Germany – up to 300% in May – and the rollout of the Full Self‑Driving (Supervised) system in the Netherlands, Estonia, Greece and Lithuania. In the United States, Tesla introduced lower‑priced Model Y and Model 3 variants in Texas and cut leasing and financing costs, while higher fuel prices also lifted demand.

The company’s stock has risen more than 40% over the past year, recovering from a prior sharp decline. Analysts say the sales surge could attract more European buyers as additional regions approve driver‑assist technologies.
