A video posted on social media shows a Tesla vehicle displaying two human silhouettes on its screen while driving past an apparently empty cemetery. The car's owner, audiovisual producer Junior Freitas, said he often tests the vehicle's sensors and cameras, which usually identify pedestrians accurately, but this time the system flagged people that were not present.

Technology analysts explain that the false detection is likely a “false positive” caused by the car's computer‑vision algorithms misclassifying objects such as tombstones, trees or shadows as pedestrians, a known issue in low‑light or ambiguous scenes. Similar videos have circulated on TikTok since 2022, sparking paranormal speculation, but experts stress there is no evidence of supernatural sensing.

Tesla's driver‑assistance system receives regular software updates to improve pedestrian detection, yet occasional misclassifications persist, especially in complex environments like cemeteries.
