Tesla Semi to debut in Europe at IAA Transportation show

Tesla has confirmed that its all-electric Semi heavy-duty truck will make its official European debut at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Germany, scheduled for September 2026. The company plans to reveal specific technical details, including European-market specifications, range, and launch timelines, during the event.

In the United States, the Semi is available in Standard Range and Long Range variants, with the latter offering up to 500 miles of range. The vehicle features a 1,000V architecture and supports high-speed charging via Tesla Megachargers, capable of adding 60% charge in under 30 minutes. While mass production has commenced in Nevada, the European rollout marks a significant expansion into a competitive market.

The Semi will enter a landscape already occupied by established manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, Volvo, and Renault. Tesla aims to compete on efficiency and operating costs, following initial North American deployments to clients like PepsiCo and Einride.
