Tesla Semi to debut in Europe at IAA Transportation show

Tesla is preparing to introduce the Tesla Semi to the European market, with official specifications and launch details expected to be unveiled at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Germany, this coming September.

The electric heavy-duty truck is expected to be available in Standard Range and Long Range configurations. In the United States, the Standard Range version offers approximately 523 km of autonomy, while the Long Range version extends that to 805 km. Both versions are reported to deliver 1,088 CV (800 kW) of power.

To support long-haul operations, Tesla utilizes Megachargers capable of delivering up to 1.2 megawatts, allowing for a 60% battery recharge in just 30 minutes. The vehicle uses the seven-pin MCS charging port, ensuring compatibility with expanding European megawatt charging systems being deployed by companies such as Milence and Iberdrola.
