Tesla plans to unveil redesigned Roadster with SpaceX thrusters

Tesla is reportedly planning to unveil its redesigned Roadster as early as this month. The demonstration is expected to take place at SpaceX’s test site in McGregor, Texas.

Reports suggest the event may feature a limited-edition version of the Roadster equipped with cold-gas thrusters developed in collaboration with SpaceX. This specialized model is intended to demonstrate hovering or flight-like capabilities but is not expected to be street legal. Due to the intense noise and force generated by the thrusters, the vehicle may be operated remotely without occupants, and spectators will likely be required to maintain a significant distance to avoid hearing damage.

The standard Roadster, which is intended for road use, is also expected to be showcased. This next-generation model has been in development for nearly a decade following its initial reveal in 2017. The program has evolved from a high-performance electric vehicle into a carbon-fiber hypercar design.

In related market news, Tesla shares have seen recent volatility, influenced by analyst reiterations and speculation regarding the Roadster and the company's advancements in AI and robotics.
