Tesla vehicle deliveries beat analyst expectations in third quarter

Tesla reported third-quarter vehicle deliveries of 486,532 units, exceeding analyst expectations of approximately 456,600. While this represents a 2.1% decrease compared to the 497,099 units delivered in the same period in 2025, the results led to a 5.29% increase in Tesla's stock price.

Delivery performance varied significantly by model. The Model 3 and Model Y remained stable, accounting for 478,237 deliveries, a slight 0.6% annual decrease. In contrast, other models—including the Cybertruck—saw a sharp decline, with only 8,295 deliveries, marking a 48% drop from the previous year.

In its energy storage division, Tesla saw growth, installing 13.7 GWh during the quarter, a 9.6% increase year-over-year. Following the delivery report, Elon Musk's fortune rose by approximately $53.2 billion in a single session, bringing his total net worth close to $1 trillion. The company is scheduled to release its full third-quarter financial results on October 21.
