Tesla vehicle destroyed in collision with truck in Aydın

A Tesla electric vehicle was completely destroyed by fire following a collision with a truck in the Efeler district of Aydın, Turkey. The accident occurred around 19:00 at the Ovaeymir Junction on Muğla Boulevard when the Tesla, driven by E. G., attempted to turn toward Efeler and struck a truck traveling toward Çine.

The force of the impact caused the car to strike a lighting pole, triggering an immediate fire. The driver managed to exit the vehicle independently and was assisted to safety by bystanders. While the driver sustained minor injuries, their health condition is reported to be stable.

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams responded to the scene, utilizing a specialized fire blanket capable of withstanding temperatures up to 3,000 degrees Celsius to contain the flames. Firefighters also used thermal cameras and measurement devices to monitor battery heat levels during a three-hour cooling and suppression operation. The vehicle was eventually removed by a tow truck after being reduced to debris.
