Tessa Bergmeier describes physical assault in subway

Tessa Bergmeier, known for her appearances on ‘Germany’s Next Topmodel’, has shared details of a violent physical assault during a subway ride. Speaking on the reality show ‘Promi Big Brother’, the 37-year-old reported being recognized by four young women who then attacked her by hitting and kicking her. Bergmeier stated that she ended up ‘lying bleeding on the floor’ after a bottle was also thrown in her direction.

Bergmeier also mentioned a separate incident on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, where strangers threw fries at her, noting that some individuals exhibit completely boundary-less and intrusive behavior. During the broadcast, fellow contestant Kim Virginia Grey expressed support, noting that while verbal hostility toward public figures is common, physical violence crosses a critical line.

Bergmeier attempted to contextualize the attackers' behavior by stating, ‘Only injured people hurt people,’ while also reflecting on her own past struggles and mental health, including a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder.
