Tet achieves dual Tier III data center certification in Latvia

Tet has become the only data center operator in Latvia to hold both Tier III Design and Tier III Facility certifications for two separate facilities. The company’s new DC7 data center in Salaspils has received the Tier III Facility certificate from the Uptime Institute, confirming that its infrastructure meets high international standards for security and operational continuity.

With the addition of DC7, Tet now possesses two internationally certified, geographically separated data centers: Dattum and DC7. This dual certification ensures that critical engineering systems can be maintained or components replaced without interrupting client operations. According to Chief Technology Officer Dmitrijs Ņikitins, this capability is vital for national critical infrastructure, the financial sector, and healthcare, particularly given the current cybersecurity landscape in Latvia and Europe.

The official opening of the DC7 data center is scheduled for September 9, 2026, in Salaspils.
