Teton County schools close due to Jackson boil water advisory

A boil water advisory has been issued for the Town of Jackson and all water systems utilizing Jackson water. As a result, the Teton County School District has canceled all classes for September 25.

Officials advise residents and businesses to boil tap water for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, or other consumption-related activities. Bottled water is recommended as an alternative. The school district stated the closure is necessary due to impacts on transportation and food services, noting that Jackson-area schools also provide meals to schools outside the immediate area.

The advisory remains in effect until further notice, with updates to be provided by the Town of Jackson as more information becomes available.
