Teton River Idaho Temple advances with new landscaping

Landscaping and construction are progressing at the Teton River Idaho Temple in Rexburg. Recent work includes planting trees and laying sod to add greenery to the site as crews work toward completing the building and surrounding grounds.

The three-story temple, covering approximately 100,000 square feet on a 16.6-acre site, has seen significant exterior progress throughout 2026, including the installation of a central spire and white stone cladding. Asphalt paving for parking areas was also conducted earlier this summer.

Announced in October 2021 with a groundbreaking on June 1, 2024, the temple will serve the Upper Snake River Valley, including students at Brigham Young University–Idaho. It will be Rexburg’s second operating temple. As of late September, specific dates for the open house and site dedication have not yet been announced.
