Tetovo Clinical Hospital reports 139 pediatric cases in 48 hours
The Pediatric Department at the Tetovo Clinical Hospital has reported 139 cases of illness in the last 48 hours. Of these patients, 12 children have been hospitalized, while others were discharged with home therapy.
Pediatrician Dr. Isa Osmani stated that the most common symptoms include high fever, vomiting, and diarrhea, which are characteristic of seasonal summer viruses. Factors contributing to the spread include high temperatures, food hygiene, the preparation of artificial milk, and contact between sick and healthy children.
Medical professionals are advising parents to maintain strict food hygiene, ensure adequate hydration to prevent dehydration, and avoid contact between children and infected individuals to curb further spread.
