Tetovo parents demand police action after attacks on children

Parents in Tetovo are calling for urgent police intervention following an incident in the city center where two 11-year-old boys were reportedly intercepted and mistreated by a group of five minors.

According to testimony from a parent, the children were on their way to a sports training session when they were grabbed by the neck. The attackers allegedly attempted to strip the children of their jackets to check for markings associated with the ‘Vojvodi’ supporter group. One of the minors reportedly filmed the incident on a mobile phone, with the footage intended for a TikTok group dedicated to sharing videos of fights in Tetovo.

The parent has reported the case to the police, noting that the mother of one child has provided a statement. There are growing concerns that this is not an isolated event, as the parent pointed to other videos on social media depicting the mistreatment of minors in the city. Residents are demanding increased police patrols and a thorough investigation of security camera footage to identify those involved.
