Tetovo police investigate violent clashes between youth groups

The Tetovo Police Sector has launched an investigation into recent violent clashes involving groups of youths in Tetovo. The violence, which occurred on two separate nights within a single week, reportedly involved the use of blunt objects.

Authorities are currently analyzing city security camera footage to identify the perpetrators. Police spokesperson Fatmir Rexhepi stated that officers are taking all necessary measures, including gathering information from citizens and conducting informative talks with individuals responsible for local football fan groups to prevent further escalation.

In response to the situation, police have increased their presence at key locations in the city, particularly during evening hours, where clashes typically occur. The investigation aims to identify minors involved so that their parents can be summoned to work alongside the Center for Social Work to prevent future incidents. The groups involved are suspected to be affiliated with the ‘Vojvodas’ and ‘Ballistët’ factions.
