Tetovo prosecutor requests detention for man accused of domestic violence and fraud

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Tetovo has requested detention for a 50-year-old man accused of domestic violence, serious threats, and violating existing protection measures.

The incident occurred on August 14 after individuals arrived at the suspect's home demanding the return of 200 euros. The money had allegedly been given to the man under the pretense of paying for his daughter's medical treatment and dialysis. Upon being confronted by his wife, who admitted the funds were obtained through deception and threatened to call the police, the man reportedly began physically assaulting his daughter.

According to the prosecution, the suspect also threatened to set his wife and daughter on fire if the police were called. These actions have caused significant fear and a sense of endangerment for the victims. The prosecutor has submitted a proposal for detention to a preliminary proceedings judge, citing the violation of previous court-ordered protection measures.
