Panče Toškovski visits Tetovo to review security and traffic safety

Minister of Internal Affairs Panče Toškovski visited Tetovo to review the local security situation and meet with the leadership of the State University of Tetovo. Discussions at the university focused on deepening cooperation between the Ministry and academic institutions, specifically regarding career opportunities for top students to serve within state security institutions.

During a visit to the Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs, Toškovski highlighted the success of the ‘Safe City’ system in improving traffic safety. Data from the first eight months of the year shows that three people died in traffic accidents in the Tetovo area, compared to nine during the same period last year. The Minister noted that the system aims to change driving habits and save lives rather than just issuing sanctions.

The ‘Safe City’ system is scheduled to be implemented in the Veles sector in the coming days, with plans for a gradual nationwide expansion.
