Teulada professionals develop regional strategy against sexual exploitation

Approximately 70 professionals from social services, healthcare, and law enforcement gathered in Teulada to develop a regional strategy against the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and girls. The initiative, driven by the Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina Alta (MACMA) and Xarxa Igualtat, aims to create a unified multidisciplinary approach to eradicate these crimes within the Marina Alta region.

The conference included technical sessions covering police and technological dimensions, such as cybersecurity and digital evidence analysis, as well as medico-judicial perspectives regarding forensic judicial assessment. Institutional and assistance-based responses were also addressed by representatives from the Commissioner for the Fight against Violence against Women and coordinators of specialized support centers.

Local municipal experiences were highlighted, specifically the abolitionist ordinances of Calp and Dénia, which were presented as models of best practices for the territory.
