Teun Gijselhart is facing a potential departure from Deportivo as he struggles to secure playing time under manager Antonio Hidalgo. Despite being the club's first summer signing from De Graafschap with a contract running until 2030, the 19-year-old Dutch midfielder has seen his role diminish significantly.

Competition in the midfield has intensified following the arrival of Marc Casadó and the return of Altimira from suspension. Gijselhart was left out of the squad for the match against Getafe, joining other players such as Germán Parreño, Arnau Comas, and Dani Barcia in the rotation periphery.
