Teun Koopmeiners attracts interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Everton

Dutch international Teun Koopmeiners is attracting interest from several European clubs as a potential January departure from Juventus. After joining the Turin-based club from Atalanta in 2024 for a significant fee, the 28-year-old midfielder has struggled to secure consistent playing time, recording only 131 minutes of Serie A action this season.

Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly monitoring the player due to his tactical versatility. Koopmeiners has demonstrated the ability to play as a defensive midfielder, an attacking midfielder, or even within a back three, a flexibility highlighted during recent international duty with the Netherlands. While no formal negotiations have been confirmed, Leverkusen is following his development closely.

In England, Everton is also reportedly keeping tabs on the midfielder. The Merseyside club is considering a move to bolster their midfield options, potentially through a loan or a permanent transfer. Juventus appears open to offers, including loan deals, to manage their financial situation and recoup some of the investment made in the player.
