Côte d'Ivoire youth football tournaments conclude

Various football tournaments held under the auspices of the Dominique Ouattara Trophy, organized by the Children of Africa Foundation, concluded across several regions in Côte d'Ivoire on September 5, 2026.

In the Facobly department, the Douélé team won the men's tournament after defeating Fagnampleu on penalties, while the Atebaklou women's team secured the championship by beating Kirikou 1-0. The event, which featured 16 men's and 8 women's teams, aimed to promote peace, fraternity, and social cohesion among youth during the school holidays.

In Niablé, Niablé FC claimed the 5th edition of the Children of Africa U15 tournament. The local club won the final against FC Kouakou N'Dramakro via a penalty shootout following a scoreless regulation period. The competition was attended by local traditional and administrative authorities, emphasizing football as a tool for education and rural youth development.
