Teverola commemorates 83rd anniversary of Carabinieri massacre

In Teverola, a ceremony was held at the municipal cemetery to mark the 83rd anniversary of the massacre of fourteen Carabinieri from the Napoli-Porto station. The soldiers, along with two civilians, were executed by Nazi forces on September 13, 1943, during World War II.

The event brought together various civil, religious, and military authorities, including the Mayor of Teverola, the President of the Province of Caserta, and the Bishop of Aversa. During the commemoration, a laurel wreath was laid at the monument dedicated to the fallen. Colonel Federico Scarabello, Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Caserta, spoke about the sacrifice of the soldiers and the importance of their duty and loyalty to institutions.
