Tevfik Beyhan arrested for soliciting women via social media live stream

A legal case has been initiated against Tevfik Beyhan and his girlfriend, Dilan P., following a social media live stream in Yalova during August. Using the pseudonym ‘Reşo’, Beyhan identified himself as a casino manager and invited young women to work at the establishment, promising food, accommodation, and financial earnings.

Investigations by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office revealed that Beyhan was not an employee or manager of the venue, but was visiting as a customer. Beyhan was apprehended in Bursa and subsequently arrested, while Dilan P. was released after giving a statement.

The indictment charges the suspects with ‘distributing or spreading products containing images, writings, or words prepared for the purpose of facilitating or mediating prostitution’. Prosecutors are seeking up to three years of imprisonment and judicial fines for the defendants. Both suspects have denied the allegations; Beyhan claimed he was under the influence of alcohol and did not realize what he was saying.
