Texarkana and Arkansas host dozens of family and music events over July weekend

A slate of free and ticketed activities is scheduled in Texarkana, Arkansas, and the wider Arkansas region from July 9 to July 12. In Texarkana, the Kidtastic Fishing Derby for children 3‑15 will be held on July 10 at Lake Diefenbacher, followed by a kids‑run lemonade stand benefiting local NICU families. The Texarkana Winds Ensemble will present a free outdoor "Celebrating America" concert on July 11, and the downtown and gateway farmers markets will operate on Saturday. The James Black School of Bladesmithing offers a hands‑on knife‑making class on July 11‑12.

Meanwhile, Arkansas venues are packed with live music shows. Post Malone and Jelly Roll are among the headline acts, with performances across Little Rock, Conway, Fayetteville, Hot Springs, and other cities. The schedule includes genre‑spanning acts such as Evanescence, local jazz ensembles, karaoke nights, and tribute shows, running daily from July 9 through July 12. All events are open to the public, with many free or low‑cost options for families and music fans.
