Texarkana and Owensboro host various community events and yard sales

Various community events and seasonal activities are scheduled across the Texarkana and Owensboro regions for the weekend of September 18–20.

In the Texarkana area, the 2026 Senior Expo will take place at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center on Friday, September 18. Other local activities include the Gateway Farmers Market in Arkansas, the Legacy Heart Walk at Bringle Lake Park, and a motorcycle poker run hosted by Texarkana Harley-Davidson to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Additionally, the Miller County Fair in Fouke, Arkansas, will feature live entertainment and rodeo action.

In the tri-state area near Owensboro, Kentucky, the Hwy 54 Fall Yard Sale will span 54 miles from Owensboro through Philpot, Whitesville, Fordsville, and Short Creek from September 17–19. Local events in Owensboro include a brisket lunch fundraiser at WBKR Radio to support the Daniel Pitino Shelter.
