Texas A&M Aggies win Bahamas summer league opener

Texas A&M men’s basketball opened the 2026‑27 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League in Nassau, Bahamas with a 112‑88 victory over the University of Victoria Vikings. Seven Aggies scored in double figures and 11 made their debut for the program. Forward Mackenzie Mgbako led the team with 17 points, while newcomer PJ Haggerty added 16.

The Aggies, coached by Bucky McMillan, will play two more exhibition games in the tournament against Toros del Valle and Carleton University. All games are streamed on FloSports. The win gives the new roster a positive start ahead of the upcoming NCAA season.
