Texas A&M AgriLife Extension expands staff and launches testing campaign

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is expanding its presence across Texas by appointing new county agents and program specialists. These professionals are tasked with providing science-based education and hands-on programming to local communities across all 254 Texas counties.

In Fayette County, the AgriLife Extension Service, in collaboration with the Fayette County Commissioner’s Court and the Fayette County Groundwater Conservation District, is launching a soil, water, and hay testing campaign from October 7 to October 28. The program offers reduced-rate testing for agricultural producers to assist with fertility planning and water well management. Soil analysis options include routine testing for pH and essential nutrients, as well as micronutrient analysis. Water testing services are also available for private well owners.
