Texas A&M football faces mid-season crisis

The Texas A&M football program is facing a mid-season crisis during its 2026 campaign. Currently holding a 1-3 record in SEC play following a 27-6 loss to Mizzou, the team is preparing to face The Citadel.

Analysis of the team's struggles highlights significant issues within the offensive and defensive lines. The offensive line ranks 11th in the SEC in rushing offense and 15th in passing offense, while having allowed 12 sacks through six games. A lack of continuity, stemming from replacing starters at four of the five offensive line positions, has led to communication breakdowns and an inability to establish a consistent run game.
