Texas authorities seek tips in 1995 El Paso murder cold case
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the El Paso Police Department are seeking new information regarding the 1995 murder of 30-year-old Celia Loya. The reward for information leading to an arrest has been increased to $6,000.
On February 7, 1995, Loya, an office manager at American Sling, notified colleagues she would be late for work but never arrived. Her husband discovered her body on the bathroom floor of their Lake Champlain Street residence. Investigators determined she died from extensive blood loss caused by blunt force trauma to her head and body, noting signs of a struggle in the living room.
Despite following numerous leads and conducting interviews over the decades, no arrests have been made. Authorities are asking for any information regarding Loya’s whereabouts or activities on the morning of the murder, or any reports of suspicious activity in the area. To qualify for the reward, tips must be submitted through the Crime Stoppers hotline or their online form.
