Texas consumers face rising costs at DFW Airport and Starbucks

Various service and retail costs are rising in Texas, impacting both travelers and consumers. Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport has implemented new parking rates. Without a reservation, terminal parking now costs $37 per day with a TollTag or $40 via credit card. Other options include covered parking at $23-$25, uncovered parking at $20-$22, and remote parking at $14-$16. Valet services are priced at $55 per day.

In the retail sector, Starbucks has announced plans to close approximately 250 locations globally due to financial performance and customer experience considerations. This includes 14 closures within Texas, affecting cities such as Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Cedar Park. The company stated it will attempt to transfer employees to other locations or provide severance packages where transfers are not possible.
